For too long, leadership in Des Moines hasn’t addressed the growing challenges in our community. I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and get Des Moines working for us again. That’s why I’m running for State Representative in House District 56.
I’m proud to live in Guttenberg, and want our district to be a great place to live for everyone. If elected, I will bring a fresh perspective to the Capitol, a focus on working families, and a passion for helping small businesses.
As your representative, I will fight for:
- Public Education: We must invest in our classrooms to support teachers and make Iowa schools number one again.
- Job Training and Apprenticeship Programs: It’s clear the 21st century economy requires more than a K-12 education. If a two to four year college is not your path, then we must have adequate programs to prepare our workforce for the future.
- Affordable, Accessible Healthcare: No one should go bankrupt because of a doctor’s bill, nor should they avoid treatment because they lack coverage. I will work to make sure all Iowans have access to affordable, quality healthcare.
- Fiscal Responsibility: When tax dollars are spent, it must be in an effective, efficient way.
