RED ALERT: Obamacare is back on the Repeal and Replace Block
Rumors are flying that Republicans feel emboldened on their latest attempt to repeal Obamacare—their new bill is named Graham-Cassidy—because they are getting so few calls from constituents. It is time to prove them wrong.
Will you pick up the phone and call Senator Chuck Grassley and Senator Joni Ernst, urging them to come out AGAINST Graham-Cassidy, the latest, disastrous Obamacare repeal bill?
Call Senator Chuck Grassley at (202) 224-3744 and Senator Joni Ernst at (202) 224-3254. When you reach an aide or voice-mail, please leave the following message:
Hello, my name is _____ calling from zip code 52043. I am urging you to oppose the Graham-Cassidy bill that would slash Medicaid, kick millions off insurance, and take away protections for people with pre-existing conditions. I am a constituent, and you work for me.
After you have made your call, please click here to let us know how it went. Call couldn’t get through? Please sign and send your Republican U.S. senator(s) a petition opposing Obamacare repeal.
Once again, Senate Republicans want to rip health insurance away from tens of millions of Americans—and they are counting on not getting a lot of blowback from constituent phone calls. The newest version of Obamacare repeal is worse than anything else they have tried to date. It kicks tens of millions of health insurance, slashes Medicaid, defunds Planned Parenthood, and allows states to remove the Obamacare protections against insurance companies selling junk plans and discriminating against people with pre-existing conditions.
It is so bad that ten governors, including some Republicans like John Kasich of Ohio—have publicly urged the Senate to reject this Graham-Cassidy bill because it’s terrible for their state.
