In February 2020, Iowans will gather for the Iowa Caucuses to once again lead the nation through the presidential primary/nominating process. Iowans take this duty seriously, and Iowa’s First Congressional District Democratic Central Committee is providing opportunities for voters to prepare for this responsibility by hosting a series
of events with presidential candidates.
The Passport to Victory 2020 Summer Candidate Tour is comprised of three events in the 20-county First Congressional District. Folks can interact with presidential candidates, listen to them speak, and gather information while enjoying a meal. The events will be held in three locations:
June 8th, 4-8 pm, Heritage Events Center, Cresco, Howard County
July 13th , 4-8 pm, UAW Local 838, Waterloo
August 10th, 4-8 pm, Lynn Dunn Memorial Building, Linn County Fairgrounds, Central
City

“Our goal with these events is to provide opportunities for Iowans to gain access to as
many of the Democratic presidential candidates as possible. Candidates can hear
directly from activists around the District. Iowa voters can learn where the candidates
stand on issues. We want people to feel they can make an informed decision come
Caucus time. All events are held in ADA compliant and functionally accessible venues.
ASL and CART will be provided.” said Catherine Crist, Chair of Iowa’s First District
Democratic Central Committee.
