Elkader listening post with State Senators
Pam Jochum and Joe Bolkcom on Friday, April 26th

3 to 4 PM: Johnson’s Restaurant

State Senators Pam Jochum of Dubuque and Joe Bolkcom of Iowa City invite Elkader area residents to attend join them for conversation in Elkader on Friday, April 26.

The event is a social get-together for all interested people from 3 PM to 4 PM at Johnson’s Restaurant, 916 N High Street.

“We want to update Elkader residents on the 2019 legislative session so far,” said Senator Jochum. “We welcome questions and want to hear the concerns of local residents.”

Senator Jochum is the former President of the Iowa Senate and is currently an Assistant Democratic Leader. She is the ranking member of the Ethics Committee, the Ways & Means Committee, and the Administrative Rules Review Committee. She also serves on the Human Resources, State Government, and Rules & Administration committees. She believes creating an economy that works for all Iowans is vital to Iowa’s future.
State Senator Joe Bolkcom is an Assistant Leader and ranking member on the Appropriations Committee. He also serves on the Commerce, Human Resources, Rules & Administration and Ways & Means committees, as well as the Health & Human Services Budget. Before serving in the Iowa Senate, he was member of the Johnson County Board of Supervisors.
